All volunteers stay at ‘Thida’s House – Community
Housing for volunteers’ for the duration of the orientation and their placement, with the exception of volunteers
working for projects that are more than 30km out of Siem Reap town. These volunteers will be accommodated with host families.

‘Thida’s
House – Community Housing for volunteers’ was created by Interweave in February 2008 and holds the middle between
guest house and home stay accommodation. Volunteers live with a Cambodian family and Thida’s House offers space for
a maximum of 12 volunteers at a time. Accommodation is based on twin-share rooms with en-suite or shared bathroom, cold water
and a fan and includes breakfast and the use of a bicycle.

Thida’s House
also offers a communal area in a garden setting, cooking facilities and a library/resource center with teaching materials
and information about Cambodia. Thida’s House is located 300m from Siem Reap’s Old Market area.
